On a beautiful winter morning, in Catania, Sicily, my family was about to give birth to their first child. With a full head of curly brown hair and big green eyes a girl was born to this special and unique land. My birthplace and home to my family - Sicily. As a baby, a young girl and a woman I have so many distinct memories of my country. Most of these memories are attached to particular scents. Running through the fields of my family's olive and orange groves, playing with my friends, meals with so many relatives and the births of my brother and sister.
